Texas as a Country!! A Country!!

Now I fully understand that Texans are a proud bunch.  Everything in Texas is done bigger, better, brighter and LARGER than anywhere else.  Having friends and such, that live or lived, in Texas has opened me up to a whole world of ya’lls and fixins’.  I enjoy Texas beef, and fully admit a steak cooked on a Texas Grill by a Texas resident is something to die for!   I give Texas and Texans props..Ya’ll are amazin! I love the great STATE of Texas, and love to visit, shop, ride and eat there!

Now I don’t love the great COUNTRY of Texas. I understand that it is in the provisions of Texas becoming a State, in the United States of America, that if you want to leave you can.  Its your right.  You have the papers to prove it. Well now comes President O’bama.  You do not like him, or his policies.  You do not agree with how the country is being run.  You want to leave.  Well boo hoo hoo.  Take your Country… ooops, I mean State, and go home!

Is this how we all should handle it?  President Bush had the lowest approval rating ever… EVER!  22% approval rating when he left office.  Should 78% of us left the country? Moved away?  Declared this to be the last place on earth we would want to live?  Where would we be then? I dont like you, you dont play nice, and I am just going to take my ball and leave!  Should we throw in “im rubber and your glue?”  President O’bama is at about a 63% approval rating right now.  SO 37% of Americans, start packing your country… ooops… I mean state, your leaving.

Now wait, maybe that’s all of Texas and I have just found the solution to this very issue.  Hold everything! If Texas leaves is that the 37% we needed?  I mean they are BIG.  With them gone does it make it a 100% approval rating for President O’bama?  Did I just solve the troubles of the Whole United States of America in one rant?

OR is this whole thing just ridiculous?  Is it the Governor of Texas getting his 15 minutes of National fame?  Has any thought, what so ever, gone into protecting yourselves and having a completely self sustaining government… What about what type of government you even want to have? Hold on one second, is there an election for president, or does the Governor just fall into that spot because he had the State declared a country?  What economic background and funding will you have.  Do you have the ability to support an economic structure?  Shall I go on?  I have a million questions that I hope every Texan is asking!

Now I did try and ask one minor question in the comment section of a newspaper article, and was called a dumbass for asking it.

So I responded back reminding them it was my right AS AN AMERICAN, just as it was theirs to call me a dumbass.   I then thought harder on this.  And thought about my children and what I would do if they acted out and they were bad… well I would punish them and not give positive reinforcement to negative behaviors.

So here is what you do President O’bama… Treat it like they are bad children… where the hell is Dr. Spock when you need him!

I will finish by saying I am not for or against President O’bama, but I am for America.  I was born here, will die here, have family that gave their very life for me to live here freely.  Some just recently……..funny… one of President O’bamas first things to do in office was to write a letter of condolance to my family member who died just days after President O’bama took office.  Now it is my understanding that all Presidents write this letter, and they only write it once.  After that it is reprinted and signed by the President every time it is needed.  Well, Kyle, he was the first… or so we were told.   So he received the first letter.  I too, am not for or against the war, but I must believe that my family did not make this sacrafice in vain.  I must believe that my brother, and grandfather did not serve in wars for nothing.  They ultimately did it to protect us.  They did it because their country asked them to.  I live every day thanking them for all they have done… for me and my children.   I live every day being thankful for the life I have.

It is not a perfect life, nor is it a perfect country… but will your Country of Texas be perfect?
